This book introduces copula-based statistical methods to analyze survival data involving dependent censoring. The book focuses on likelihood-based methods performed under copula models. This is the first book solely devoted to the problem of dependent censoring, though there are many textbooks for survival analysis.
The book demonstrates the advantages of the copula-based methods in the context of medical research, especially through survival data of cancer patients. Of course, the statistical methods presented in this book can be applied to many branches of science, especially in reliability where survival analysis plays an important role.
