Surface design: applications in bioscience and nanotechnology

The book gives an overview of current research in advanced surface design forlife science applications. It also includes chapters arose from non-publishedwork with topics such as surface design and their applications, new developments in analytical tools for materials science and life science. Additionally it contains a glossary including brief descriptions of techniques, which are mentioned in this book and more. Recent advances in the field of surface design for biomaterial and life science applications will be highlighted based on a carefully selected balance of tutorial reviews and original work on topics thatrange from synthesis and fabrication of organic and polymeric materials, surface and interface science to advanced analytical methods.
