Both enterprise and service provider scenarios are considered based on the expertise from Juniper Networks engineers. From Metro Ethernet migration approaches to comprehensive network protocol consolidation and integration, each case study covers the planning, design, implementation, monitoring and rollback stages, and the leveraging of additional specific services and JUNOS resources to ensure successfulcompletion at each migration phase. An appendix of useful automation scripts is included as well as examples and guidelines for each of these steps. The book also describes the challenges that evolve in IT networks in modern environments, covering enterprise and service provider milieus. This book covers the following topics: Internetworking evolution, JunOS, IGP, Traffic Engineering Database (TED), Interior Gateway Protocols Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) migrations (eBGP and iBGP), MultiProtocol Label Switching (MPLS and MPLS L3 VPN), Metro Ethernet,IPv4, IPv6, mVPN, Network Address Translation (NAT).Juan Antonio Bernal van der Ven, Juniper Networks, Spain Juan Antonio Bernal van der Ven (certified instructor - JNCIE#27) holds a BS in Telecommunicationsand a MS in Electronics by Universitat Ramon Llull (Spain).
