Graphene-based nanocomposites are one of the major advancement in polymer-based materials. The synthesis, nanoscale dimensions, high aspect ratio, mechanical, electrical and thermal properties of graphene and its derivative have all been major areas of research in the last decade. Nanocomposites are novel materials with significantly enhanced properties owing to the integration of small amount ( In recent years, several methods have been developed to produce graphene. The reduction of graphene derivatives, such as graphene oxide, shows potential for the cost-effective production of graphene sheets in the bulk quantities that are necessary for application to nanocomposites. The functionalization technique is critical in the creation of graphene nanocomposites. Functionalized Graphene and its Derivatives-based Nanocomposites explains how the functionalization technique is used to create graphene nanocomposites, and explores its current uses in industrial applications. This is an important reference resource for those working in the fields of materials processing and characterization, wanting to learn more about graphene nanocomposites and their applications. Explains how graphene is functionalized and used in the fabrication of nanocomposites for a range of applicationsExplores why the properties of functionalized graphene make it such a useful, versatile materialDescribes in detail the functionalization process, for utilization in graphene INDICE: 1.
