Endovascular techniques in the management of cerebrovascular disease

This book is intended for neurology and neurosurgery fellows-in-training and practicing clinicians with an interest in endovascular procedures used in the management of cvd. It benefits from the resources of a multispecialty cerebrovascular center, that unifies expertise in diagnostic neuroradiology, neuroanesthesia, neurosurgical intensive care, stroke neurology and the basic neurosciences. The first section of the book reviews equipment, devices and therapeuticagents such as anti-coagulants and thrombolytics. The second section describes the clinical management of ischemic cerebrovascualr disease, including thrombectomy and stenting; the final part of the book is dedicated to hemorrhagic CVD and deals with aneurysms, subarachnoid hemorrhage and vascular malformations.
