The goal is to cover the heteropteran fauna, in order to give the readers an idea about the diversity and importance of true bugs of this zoogeographical region. This book is not a catalog of the species of true bugs of the neotropics.? Section one contains an overview of the true bugs of the neotropics, a general description of their biology, morphology, development, feeding and reproduction and a detailed description of their classification and biogeography. Section two is dedicated to the main groups, i.e., the infraorder containing the families of true bugs. Each chapter will contain a general description of the families included. Aspects related to the biology and ecology of the main species will be covered and the less known species will, at least, be cited.
