Eric Margolis is a visual sociologist andAssociate Professor in the Division of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Arizona State University. He is President of the International Visual Sociology Association. His current research focuses on the study of visual culture, particularly the use of historical photographs. Luc Pauwels is Professor of Visual Culture at the University of Antwerp. He is Chair-Elect of the Visual Communication Studies Division of the ICA, Vice-President of the International Visual Literacy Association (IVLA) and Board member of the International Visual Sociology Association (IVSA). His research and teaching is focused on visual research methods, scientific visualization and new media.
