Pohlmann, Markus

Lee, Jong-Hee
In this age of globalization, migration of people across national borders is frequent, resulting in reconsideration of national citizenship. This book addresses this problem of changing nature of national citizenship in the context of flow of people and ideas between Asia and Europe, particularly between Koreaand Germany. This book also deals extensively with citizenship in Korea, where the concept of citizenship is relatively recent, and thus the study of citizenship is scarce. Probably this book is the first collection of papers covering various aspects of citizenship in Korea. Together this book will contribute,to a great extent, to the scholarship in the fields of citizenship and migration and to the understanding of flow of people and ideas between Asia and Europe.
