This is the last of eight volumes on the history of Greece, first published in 1844. Volume 8 covers the period from the battle of Ipsus to the death of Pyrrhus, and then to the accession of AntigonusDoson. Then it covers the proclamation of the liberty of Greece under Roman protection, the embassy of Callicrates to Rome, and finally the reduction of Greece into a Roman province.
