Holistic Simulation of Geotechnical Installation Processes

Triantafyllidis, Theodoros

135,19 €(IVA inc.)

The book deals with the entire process for the realization of a geotechnical project starting from a well-defined initial stress-and- deformation state down to the end of the installation process.
The chapters provide the necessary fundamental knowledge for the improvement of the soil-structure-interaction models. Results of the theoretical fundamental research describing suitable constitutive models, contact formulations and efficient numerical implementations and algorithms are presented. Applications of the fundamental research on boundary value problems are considered in order to improve the implementation of the developed theoretical models.
In addition, parametric studies of the respective geotechnical installation process in order to localize the important parameters for the optimization of the process are given as well as elementary and large scale model tests under well-defined conditions.
The book provides suitable methods for the simulations of boundary value problems of geotechnical installation processes with reliable prediction for the deformation behavior of structures in static or dynamic interaction with the soil.
